Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales
Momtaz Islam
Momtaz joined the firm in November 2020 as a caseworker and quickly demonstrated her
dedication and expertise, earning a training contract. Since qualifying as a solicitor, she has
gained experience in multiple areas of law, including immigration law, landlord-tenant
matters, personal injury and conveyancing.
Momtaz’s commitment and skill led her to establish the firm’s housing and landlord/tenant
department, which she now heads. As the department’s leader, she has assisted landlords
and tenants, helped homeless individuals, supported clients dealing with housing disrepair
issues, and other housing law issues. Momtaz is also the firm’s Legal Aid housing
supervisor.
Beyond her professional achievements, Momtaz is deeply engaged in her community. She
serves as the president of the LM Book Club and recently founded an outreach initiative to
empower Bengali women.
